Maize Processing Line – End-to-End Processing Line Description

Hebei Julite Sorting Technology Co., Ltd. provides maize (corn) processing lines for food, feed, and industrial markets. The line comprises:

1. Pre-Cleaning

  • Rotary screens and screw conveyors remove large debris (cobs, sticks).

  • Aspirators eliminate fine dust and husk fragments.

2. Dehusking

  • Abrasive rollers and impact dehullers strip the outer husk; an air separator collects husk fragments.

3. Degerming

  • Friction rollers or impact mills separate the germ from endosperm.

  • High-speed aspirators remove light germ particles for oil extraction.

4. Milling or Flaking (Optional)

  • Hammer mills or roller mills grind degermed maize into flour, grits, or semolina.

  • Flaking mills for corn flakes or extruded products.

5. Brightening/Polishing

  • Rotary polishers smooth kernel surfaces for snack-corn applications.

6. Final Grading and Sorting

  • Sieving machines classify by particle size.

  • Optical sorters remove discolored kernels, foreign seeds, and insect-damaged grains.

7. Metal Detection and Packaging

  • Metal detectors at the end of the line.

  • Bulk-bag or retail packaging with integrated weighing and inspection.

Control via PLC/HMI ensures consistent throughput, moisture control, and equipment status monitoring. Lines scale from 0.5 t/h pilot setups to 30 t/h industrial systems.
