The opinions on accelerating the development of new formats and models of Foreign Trade issued by the general office of the State Council on July 13 pointed out that the new formats and models are not only a living force for the development of China's foreign trade, but also an important trend in the development of international trade. Accelerating the development of new forms and models of foreign trade is conducive to promoting the high-quality development of trade, cultivating new advantages in participating in international economic cooperation and competition, and plays an important role in building a new development pattern of services.
In recent years, the economic and trade cooperation between Hebei Province and ASEAN has shown the characteristics of strong complementarity and gradual diversification, and the cooperation prospect is broad. The effective implementation of RCEP is to further accelerate the industrial transformation and upgrading of both sides and improve the level of opening-up cooperation. In 2020, the total import and export volume between Hebei Province and RCEP member countries was 163.23 billion yuan, an increase of 11.8%, accounting for 37.0% of the total import and export volume of the province. In the first half of 2021, Hebei's exports to ASEAN increased by 24.3% year-on-year. The main export commodities are mechanical and electrical products, steel, agricultural products, textiles, etc.
In order to promote the innovative business development mode of foreign trade enterprises in Hebei Province, Hebei Provincial Department of Commerce holds several trade promotion activities of one country one exhibition and multi country one exhibition in 2021.
